Terms of Service

  1. [LEGAL REVIEW] What Song Wrappio does

    Song Wrappio turns a short quiz about someone you love into an original song: our software writes the words, an AI music engine sings and plays them, and we send you a link to the recording. Every song is made for you when you order it. Nothing here is performed by a human musician, and no song is a cover of an existing recording.

  2. [LEGAL REVIEW] You need to be 13 or older

    You must be at least 13 to make a song here, and old enough where you live to agree to these terms. You confirm your age at the end of the quiz. If you are under 13, ask a parent or guardian to order for you. We do not knowingly keep accounts for children under 13, and we delete any we find.

  3. [LEGAL REVIEW] What you may do with your song

    When you pay, we grant you a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive licence to play, download, share and give away your song for personal, non-commercial use, including at a party or wedding or in a video you post. Because the audio is generated by a machine, it is very likely not protected by copyright in the United States and several other countries, so we cannot promise you a registrable copyright and neither of us can stop someone else using something similar. Ask us first if you want to use a song commercially: the engine that made it sets its own conditions, and we record which applied to each song.

  4. [LEGAL REVIEW] What you may not ask for

    Do not ask for a song that imitates a real artist by name, voice or likeness, or that clones anyone's voice. Do not use the service to harass, bully, threaten, defame or sexualise anyone, to produce hateful content about people or groups, or to write anything sexual or violent involving a minor. Do not ask for anything that breaks the law or infringes someone else's rights. We check every piece of free text before it reaches an AI, and we refuse, block or remove songs that cross these lines, without a refund where the breach is deliberate.

  5. [LEGAL REVIEW] Prices, payment and made-to-order goods

    The price is on the page before you pay and includes any tax we have to charge. Payment is taken by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. A song is a digital good made to order and delivered as soon as it is ready, so by paying you ask us to start delivery immediately. What happens when something goes wrong is set out in our Refund Policy.

  6. [LEGAL REVIEW] Previews, regenerations and what finished means

    You hear a free preview of about 25 seconds before you decide. After you pay you get the full track and one free regeneration if you would rather have a different take of the same brief; further regenerations cost the price shown. A regeneration replaces the take it re-records, so download anything you want to keep. A song is whatever our engines make of your answers: we cannot guarantee a particular voice, arrangement, length or mood.

  7. [LEGAL REVIEW] Sending a song to someone else

    You can schedule a gift email to a recipient. You are responsible for having their permission to email them and for what you write in your note. We send the message once, from us, on your behalf, and keep the address only to deliver the gift and to show it was sent. Do not use gift delivery to send unsolicited mail.

  8. [LEGAL REVIEW] Your account, and ending it

    We sign you in with a one-time link rather than a password, so keep your inbox secure: anyone who can read your email can reach your songs. You can delete your account and your songs at any time from your account page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we may stop offering the service; if we close your account without cause, we refund anything you have paid for and not received.

  9. [LEGAL REVIEW] What we can and cannot promise

    We provide the service as it is. AI engines fail, vendors go down and a song can come back wrong; when that happens we re-record it or give your money back, and that is the extent of our responsibility. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the song it concerns. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

  10. [LEGAL REVIEW] Changes, and the law that applies

    We may update these terms; the version on this page when you order is the one that governs that order. These terms are governed by the law of [JURISDICTION] and its courts have jurisdiction, without taking away any protection you have under the law of the country you live in.
